HOW DOES IT WORK?

Multi-Layer Reflective Insulation Technology

THERMOJACKET® utilizes a system based on two insulation components:

  • Aluthermo® 21, protecting the upper section of the pallet,
  • Aluthermo® Quattro, insulating the lower transport zone.

The combination of both solutions creates a complete thermal protection system that reduces heat transfer between the surrounding environment and the protected cargo.

Thanks to its multi-layer aluminum structure and enclosed air chambers, the system:

  • Reduces heat gain and heat loss,
  • Slows temperature fluctuations,
  • Supports the maintenance of temperatures between 2–8°C,
  • Enhances the safety of pharmaceutical transportation.

RWTH AACHEN TESTS CONFIRM

  • Maintenance of temperatures between 2–8°C for up to 24 hours

The solution was designed to work in conjunction with active cooling systems such as refrigerated vehicles and air freight transport. It helped maintain a stable temperature range of 2–8°C during critical stages of the logistics chain, including loading, unloading, temporary storage, and transfers between different modes of transportation. Its effectiveness was validated through independent testing conducted by RWTH Aachen, which demonstrated the system's ability to maintain the required temperature range during operational interruptions.

The solution was also implemented on an industrial scale in cooperation with logistics partners such as Kerry Logistics and Lynden. It was successfully used for many years in the transportation of pharmaceutical products valued at more than €500,000 per pallet. Key advantages included high thermal efficiency, low weight, ease of installation, and a highly favorable cost-to-performance ratio compared to fully active packaging systems.

Under real-world logistics conditions, the solution proved highly reliable. THERMOJACKET® was designed as a complementary solution to active cooling systems; therefore, its performance depends on correct installation and proper integration into existing cold chain logistics operations.

Multi-Layer construction

THERMOJACKET® is a multi-layer insulation system for pharmaceutical logistics based on the combination of Aluthermo® 21 and Aluthermo® Quattro components.

The system utilizes reflective aluminum layers and enclosed air chambers that work together to reduce heat transfer between the surrounding environment and the protected cargo.

The combination of both components effectively reduces:
